White Water Rafting
RiverTrips

KayakingWe offer exciting guided whitewater trips downthe historic and spectacularly scenic, Shenandoah River. You’llchallenge “Bull Falls” and the “Staircase” as you paddlepast Harpers Ferry National Historic Park and the famous C&O Canal. Thistruly is an area rich in Civil War history. This trip offers something foreveryone! Beginners, or those “less adventuresome” can opt topaddle in one of our 6-man rafts, accompanied by an experienced guide. For you“go for it” types, we offer an awesome upgrade to a“duckie” or a “Thrill Kat” (see photo). These are smallmaneuverable, single person inflatables which are so easy to paddle, you needabsolutely no experience to take one of these boats down the river. You’llreceive all the necessary instructions by our trip leader before you begin, then you’re off to paddle “your own private sports car” down theriver. You’ll learn how to surf Bull Falls, “eddy out” and“brace”. It’s like paddling a kayak, only much more stable. Youwill, of course, be paddling right along with the rest of the trip, enjoyingthe company of your friends or family and within the group of our guided rafts;no “Lone Rangers” here.
